A little while ago, the fine literary philanthropists at Ponder & See got in touch and asked if I’d like to join them on a jaunt to New Zealand to have a chat about all things Cook and the Pacific.
So this weekend, I’m winging my way to The Farm at Cape Kidnappers … which is pretty danged exciting. The only downside is that it’s going to be a hit-and-run visit, because my new novel, ‘The Emerald Tablet’, is being released next week, and I have to be back in Oz for that. So no tours of Napier’s fine wine region for me, I’m afraid. But, still. The Pacific project is the gift that just keeps giving. And with a Logies nomination for the TV series as well! Too much. 😆
You thought I was going to say the ‘bonus’ was having the opportunity to work with the stellar actorly type and generally fine human being, Mr Sam Neill, didn’t you? But, that can hardly be defined as ‘unexpected’, because without Sam, there would no tv series, and no book. So, for that, I thank you, kind sir.
